Mallow Credit Union’s Christmas donation to Cork St. Vincent de Paul

Many families will face impossible choices this Christmas and requests from families to SVP are expected to exceed 160,000 this year. It’s been a difficult year for St Vincent de Paul too, whose traditional fundraising efforts have been thrown into chaos with their SVP shops closed for so long and collections interrupted.
The Board of Management at Mallow Credit Union felt that their annual Christmas donation to the SVP was more important than ever and wanted to show their support to the tireless efforts of the SVP. It was agreed to support the SVP groups within Mallow Credit Union’s Common Bond, with a total of €5,000 being donated across North Cork and West Limerick.
Tomas O’Neill, CEO of Mallow Credit Union said “We have a long-standing relationship with the Saint Vincent de Paul in our areas and see just how much of a positive impact they have to the lives of families in our community each year. We are grateful to be able to continue to support their fundraising efforts this year and would like to wish all the SVP staff and volunteers a happy Christmas and peaceful New Year.”
