MALLOW G.A.A. CYCLE TO DINGLE FOR LOCAL CHARITIES

On April 26th the Mallow GAA Cycling group will undertake their second sponsored cycle from Mallow to Dingle in West Kerry. The 147km cycle will be in aid of the autism facilities in Scoil Iosagain, Mallow Day Care Centre and Straight Ahead – the Children’s Spinal Injuries Clinic.

Following on the success of last year’s event it is hoped that we will have approximately 50 cyclists taking part on the day. In addition there will be a dedicated support crew, including support vans, motorbike outrider, as well as a team of sandwich makers who will give much needed encouragement and solace over the course of the day.

Our thanks as always go to the local businesses that have sponsored provisions for the day including Dano’s SuperValu, Barry’s Cash and Carry, Sheehan Bros. Butchers and Mallow GAA Complex who will provide breakfast prior to departure.

The group will depart Mallow GAA Club in Carrigoon at 8am on 26th April and will stop in Rathmore, Killarney and Keale before arriving in Dingle, all going well, around 4-5pm in the evening.

As always these events are dependant on local generosity and all cyclists will have sponsorship cards over the next couple of weeks. We are extremely grateful for each and every contribution.

May the wind be at our backs!
