Mallow Golf Club boys’ junior foursomes team were the first team out in 2024 at Cork Golf Club last Sunday. Both our pairs played very well, but lost out to an in-form Cork team on the day. Congratulations to Cork, and huge encouragement to our boys for battling in very windy conditions. So, well done to Ben McPhillips with Sam Kelleher, and Michael O’Keeffe with Conor McCarthy, and our subs Cathal Murphy and Darragh Sugrue, plus all the boys who tried out for the panel. Special thanks to our managers Tim O’Callaghan and Paul O’Keeffe for their efforts, and Captain John Roche and Lady President Deirdre Linehan and Junior Committee members, family and club supporters who turned out to support our boys. Onwards and upwards.
