Mallow laboratory shortlisted for national awards

Flowmeter Systems in Mallow were recently notified that they have been shortlisted for the Irish Laboratory Awards which take place at the Burlington Hotel, Dublin on 3rd December. The Irish Laboratory Awards were launched to promote and celebrate the leading Irish people and companies in the world of science. Mallow’s Flowmeter Systems, based in Quartertown, have been shortlisted in not one, but two categories, namely Calibration or Testing Laboratory of the Year and Commercial Laboratory of the Year. Flowmeter Systems’ Director, John Ferris, says that he is proud to have been shortlisted with such high profile and prestigious laboratories such as Trinity College, Abbot Ireland, UCD and others.

Flowmeter Systems, an ISO 17025 Accredited laboratory, have been in business in Mallow since 1996 providing calibration services to the many industries such as pharmaceutical, bio-pharmaceutical, medical and the food and beverages industries. The Irish Laboratory Awards recognise excellence and achievement in the laboratory environment, covering management, innovation, collaboration, personnel development and laboratory equipment supply. Just making the shortlist on these prestigious awards will ensure that the scientists involved will receive national recognition for their achievements.
