MALLOW TOPS ANTI-LITTER CHALLENGE

The second phase results from the Cork County Council Anti Litter Challenge show Mallow powering into top spot.

This week, Mallow Tidy Towns paid tribute to all the businesses who are sweeping the pavement in front of their premises and putting on fabulous flower displays. They also lauded the efforts of Residents’ Associations and con-cerned citizens of the town who take care of their estates, streets and green areas, as well as pupils and students who are also doing their part in keeping litter off the streets by using the bins provided and disposing of chewing gum in a proper way.

Mallow Tidy Towns are inviting people to join them this Saturday mor-ning at 8am for a litter pick of the car parks, side streets and laneways off Main Street, meeting at the headquarters in Hibernian Way and finishing there one hour later with a cup of tea and a biscuit or two. At 10.30am Tidy Towns will meet at the Round-about Tavern car park to continue the work on Navigation Road.
