Marathon Tractor Drive Raises Funds for Leukaemia Unit

Three vintage tractors rolled into Mallow G.A.A. Complex last Sunday after a three-day drive from Dublin to raise money for the leukaemia unit at Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin. Taking part in the marathon drive were Denis Dineen, Dan Joe Mullane, Timmy O’Sullivan and Denis Healy, and on their arrival in the G.A.A. complex they got a rousing cheer from their supporters. Organiser Denis Dineen asked people to keep the donations coming in, as all money raised goes to a very worthy cause. Denis’s own grandson Seán O’Mahony was treated for leukaemia at the Crumlin hospital a couple of years ago and is now fit and well again; he goes into 2nd class at Gaelscoil Thomáis Dáibhís next week.
