Maths and Science Family Fair returns to Mallow GAA Complex this Sunday

One of the most popular family events locally every year is the Mallow Maths and Science Family Fair, and a sizeable attendance is expected at Mallow GAA Complex this Sunday for the free event which runs from 12 noon to 4pm.

Originally established as an extension to the Mallow Schools Project to connect local schools with the community through Science, Tech-nology, Engineering and Maths (STEM), it now enjoys great repres-entation from schools, with students showing their maths and science projects to visitors, alongside companies, research centres and third-level departments.

It promises to be a very interactive day for all ages. It is also a valuable opportunity to ask the professionals what it is like working as an engineer, scientist, researcher, and what you need to study. In addition, for the not-so-young and especially those interested in setting up their own companies, information will be available in relation to funding, entrepreneurship and innovation. It promises to be a fun, engaging and educational event for all ages. Log on to http://www.mallow.ie/ for more information.
