McMahon wins All-Ireland Handball Championship

West Limerick’s Martina McMahon overcame Ciana Ní Churraoin (Galway) in the All-Ireland 4-Wall Senior Singles Handball Final at Croke Park last weekend.
Thirty-year-old Martina, who hails from Croagh/Kilfinny and is attached to Broadford Handball Club, won in straight sets, 21-5, 21-18. The win re-affirmed Martina’s standing as one of the sport’s premier com-petitors.
She has won numerous national titles and reigned supreme on the world stage back in 2018.
Also on her glittery CV is multiple wins in World Wallball, a version of the Handball Championships.
Martina is a live contender to represent Ireland in her chosen sport at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
