Milford camogie team could take another giant step towards All-Ireland glory on Sunday.

MILFORD BID FOR ALL-IRELAND SPOT

Having successfully defended the club’s county and provincial crowns, the Milford girls head for Ashbourne, Co. Meath, on Sunday at 2pm to take on Derry and Ulster champions Eoghan Rua. Milford won their` first County, Munster and All-Ireland Senior Championship in 2012 and on Sunday will be aiming to move a step closer to completing a trio of back to back titles.

Elsewhere, Mallow is the venue for a mouth-watering opening round to the Ladies Football National League Division 1 when the holders Cork entertain Mayo on Sunday at 2pm.

The counties met in last year’s league decider, so a fascinating contest is in prospect on Sunday.
