CDYS Youth Work Ireland was delighted to receive an award for best gala film at the First Cut Film Festival held in Youghal on Saturday last. The film, ‘Milky Boy,’ was devised by a number of young people from north Cork who participated in the Cork Young Film Makers Summer Programme held last July in the Big Blue Cube, Gouldshill. The production also won the Best Film Award at the CYF Gala event in Cork County Hall last November. If you are interested in film making and would like to take part in this exciting and affordable summer programme, email miriam@cdys.ie for further details. We are also planning to run a weekly film club, which will start in September. This programme has been sponsored by Cork County Council Art.
