Noelle Lenihan
Paralympian athlete Noelle Lenihan from Milford will embark on the trip of a lifetime this Saturday when she flies out to Qatar to compete in the 2015 IPC Athletics World Championships in Doha, which are being held between 21st and 31st October and will feature around 1,300 athletes from 90 countries .
Noelle is just one of nine paralympians from Ireland who qualified for the championships, and at 15 she is the youngest Irish competitor.
In July, Noelle competed in the European Champion-ships in Berlin where she won two gold medals in her chosen discipline, the discus.
In advance of heading to Qatar, Noelle was received by the Lord Mayor of Cork at a reception yesterday (Wednesday) evening.
