Newcastle West Arts is hosting a Showcase Exhibition, Colourful Spirits by the North Kerry Artists’ Group in the Red Door Gallery in the Square.

This exciting exhibition was opened on March 3rd by Billy Keane, Journalist and Publican from Listowel to a large gathering of art lovers. Billy guided the audience through the exhibition with both knowledge and humour as only he can do.

Colourful Spirits – North Kerry Arts Group was set up in 2010 by Rebecca Carroll and Lisa Fingleton, film maker. The group brings together artists with diverse styles and techniques who want to learn from each other while developing individually. Exhibitions and collaborative works facilitate their growth as artists.

To complete the night, Newcastle West native, Billy Keane, Guitarist, Vocalist and Songwriter performed at Whelan’s Bar, Church Street. Billy studied music in Cork and London, where he is now pursuing a career as songwriter and performer. His new EP will be launched in London this Summer.

Colourful Spirits is well worth seeing and will remain on view until March 19th at the following viewing times: Thursday 10th through Saturday 12th and Thursday 17th through Saturday 19th March. Open each day from 11.30am to 4.30pm.
