Powerchair football star Liam to represent Ireland at World Cup

Liam Lynch.

Liam Lynch from Mallow will represent Ireland next October at the Powerchair Football World Cup in Sydney, but in order to travel Down Under with the Ireland team he must raise €15,000 to cover the cost of travel, accommodation and the hire of medical equipment in Australia.
Liam plays with Heroes Powerchair Football Club in Buttevant, and has represented his country with distinction in the past.
Speaking this week, Liam said, “Heroes Powerchair Football Club would be grateful for any donations received to help send me to Sydney where I will proudly represent my club, my county and my country.”
If you would like to donate to the fundraiser, please go to www.gofundme.com and look for ‘I Need your Support to Get to the PFC World Cup’.
A fundraising coffee morning will also be held in Horgan’s Bar, Buttevant, on Friday 5th May at 10.15am, to help send Liam to Australia.
