ROBBIE SIGNS FOR TREATY UNITED

Local Broadford sportsman, Robbie Lynch has signed a part-time professional contract with the Limerick League of Ireland club Treaty United. Robbie who has been involved with the Treaty United Carelon Academy over the past number of years began his soccer career with Broadford United AFC schoolboy teams where he showed outstanding ability with the underage teams and with the Dromcollogher/Broadford GAA club. He lined out at centre back for the recently crowned under 21 county football champions playing a vital role in the victory over Ahane in the county final. Robbie who is a student at Hazelwood College, Dromcollogher, had the honour of captaining the Munster schoolboys soccer team that won the FAI Schools Interprovincial tournament last December. Robbie first lined out for Treaty United’s MU15 side in 2021 before progressing to the club’s MU17 and MU19 sides in subsequent seasons. Robbie received his first team berth in May of last year in the League of Ireland at home to Galway United and featured five times that season, with his goal-line block at home to Kerry FC being one of the most memorable moments of the year. We would also congratulate Robbie for his latest honour of playing with the Ireland U18 schools team v Australia and being declared Man of the Match. All the best for the future Robbie.
