Rory to cycle for Ireland at European Championships

Mallow cyclist Rory Condon will represent Ireland this Friday at the Junior UEC Road European Championships in Drôme-Ardèche, France.
Rory came through the youth ranks with his local club, O’Leary Stone Kanturk Cycling Club, under the guidance of his youth coach Danny Curtin. He built his cycling experience over the years with his club friends around the roads of North Cork. Rory is very proud of his connection to O’Leary Stone Kanturk Club and was supported by Danny and Joan in the team car for his coming-of-age silver medal win at the Cycling Ireland National Road Race Championship this summer.
Rory raced with the British-Italian Zappi Racing team in Italy for the summer, competing at the highest junior level, his most eye-catching result coming in the UCI-ranked Gran Premio Sportivi Loria; a 134km 1.1 race, where he was 8th in the breakaway of 15. There were 170 starters on the day from 22 countries. Best of luck to Rory this Friday.
