Rosemary to lead St Patrick’s Day Parade

Rosemary O’Neill has been announced as Grand Marshal for this year’s St Patrick’s Day Parade in Mallow. Ms O’Neill is the daughter of the late Thomas ‘Tip’ O’Neill, one-time Speaker of US House of Representatives, whose ancestors came from Mallow in the 1800s. This will be the 31st staging of the Mallow parade and the theme will be ‘Mallow, a Great Place to Live In’.
The parade will assemble in the Town Park between 1.30pm and the start time of 2.30pm on March 17th, and will proceed down West End and the Main Street. Cuisle Avondhu will be on stage outside St. Mary’s Church from 1.45pm  onwards, pro-viding pre-parade entertainment.
