Sherlock disappointed at cancellation of People’s Debate

Minister of State Seán Sherlock has expressed disappointment that the Cork East People’s Debate with Vincent Browne has been cancelled.

“I was looking forward to engaging on the issues with other candidates for the forthcoming General Election,” said Minister Sherlock, the Labour Party candidate for Cork East. The People’s Debate was to take place in the Firgrove Hotel in Mitc-helstown next Monday.

“I understand there was an issue with logistics with the production company. I was looking forward to discussing how far we have come as a country since 2011. I believe that the job I was elected to do in 2011 is still not finished. We have seen significant investment in school building in Mallow since 2011, with over €7 million spent on capital schools’ infrastructure since I entered Government. I want to ensure that progress is maintained,” he said.
