SIZEABLE CHEQUE HANDED OVER TO ST. JOSEPH’S FOUNDATION

A sizeable cheque, the proceeds of a climb to the top of Croagh Patrick was handed over recently to Conor Counihan, C.E.O. St. Joseph’s Foundation.

The climb, organised by Charleville based local community Garda Nick Phelan has raised €1,812.00 to date and money is still coming in. Joining Garda Phelan on the climb were Mike Sexton and Hugh Hogan, Bruree, Denny and Mark O’Mahony, Newtownshandrum, Nick Phelan, Helen O’Callaghan and Aileen Magner, Charleville Garda Station, Neil Ronan and Marie Foley and Cathal O’Neill, Charleville, Mick and Jackie Sheehan, Liscarroll, Seamus and Rosarie Dillon, Ken and Bridget McCormack, Milford and Joe Stack, Bohermore, Limerick.

This week Garda Phelan thanked Andrew Sexton, Bruree, Breda O’Carroll, Dromina, O’Leary’s Bar, Charleville, and Darren Ronan who collected money and all those who contributed.

“It was such a success that I hope to make it an annual event” Garda Phelan said.
