Skorts AND Shorts Fashion Show Granagh Ballingarry Camogie Club

Granagh Ballingarry Camogie Club welcomed GAA stars Sean Óg Ó hAilpín, Donal O’Grady and Cian Lynch with open arms at the Woodlands House Hotel in Adare last Thursday night. “Skorts and Shorts” Fashion Show proved to be a huge attraction for camogie and GAA fashionistas alike. It was a fantastic success and proved to be a major community event attracting people of all ages across several communities. The night was a complete sell out before the start of the week, mainly thanks to the involvement of our high profile celeb GAA and camogie models. Also modelling on the night were Richard O’Donoghue and Tom Neville TD and also roses Limerick Rose Kayleigh Maher and Sile Ryan, Tipperary Rose, as well as a host of local celebs and juvenile members.
There was a fantastic selection of exclusive boutiques from across the county including Aisling Maher, Lady Penelope, Stitch and Connolly Man and also the Munster region, showcasing their Spring Summer 2018 collections ahead of our hopeful hot summer but there was plenty of sweat on the night as GAA stars Sean Og, Donal O’Grady and Cian Lynch “clashed” on the catwalk with camogie players Sarah Carey, Niamh Chawke and Vera Sheehan. There was fantastic support from all senior camogie players who were happy to strutt the catwalk alongside fellow GAA stars and also professional models from the Hilary Thompson Model Agency.
It was a night of sport and fashion combined. Young juvenile club members strutted the catwalk alongside the famous GAA stars and behind the scenes Donal, Sean and Cian were happy to spend hours posing for photos.
Huge thanks to Rainbows Hair Studio, Charleville for hair design and also to all the exclusive boutiques on the night but especially to Willow, Ennis and Galway, The County Boutique, Nenagh, Nozomi of Ennis and Serenity and Silk Peaches, Cork who traveled long distances to showcase their collections.
Lyons of Limerick were the main sponsor of the event on the night and had a showcase of their very own, displaying their fashionable new 2018 vehicles at the door of the Woodlands House Hotel and sponsoring the main door prize on the night.
GAA and camogie enthusiasts gathered together from counties Limerick, Cork, Tipperary and Clare, among others to make it a highly joyful occasion for all involved.
All funds raised go towards the development of the pitch and their facilities for Granagh Ballingarry Camogie Club in the hope of securing the future of camogie in the Granagh Ballingarry area.
Huge thanks to the organising committee for a fantastic job well done but enormous thanks undoubtedly go to Sean Óg Ó hAilpín, Cian Lynch and Donal O’Grady for giving their time, patience and energy in making this night a huge success and a truly memorable enjoyable one!
