All thoughts of post-Christmas blues were cast aside at St. Mary’s Secondary School, Mallow on Friday last 11th January with the excitement of the Credit Union Committee raffle for 2013. The students of St. Mary’s have been saving diligently since the beginning of the school year and ended up scooping some very nice prizes in the raffle, including stationary, calculators, art supplies and radios. Congratulations to winners Ruby Dawson, Brenda Neville, Rachel Doody, Sinead Lane, Julie Brennan and Sally Sheehan who all received prizes. Credit Union stamps are on sale at a cost of €1 each in the school canteen every Tuesday and Thursday at 10.10 am. The St. Mary’s Credit Union committee have put in a huge effort to promote the advantages of saving and are delighted with the amount of saving that is taking place within the school, and they would like to thank all of the girls who have supported this initiative.
