Support your local St. Patrick’s Day Parade


It’s almost St Patrick’s weekend, and com-munities all over North Cork and South Limerick are gearing up for their annual parades to honour our patron saint. The following is a list of towns and villages which will hold parades this weekend, and we recommend that everyone attend their local event.
North Cork
Buttevant: The parade will start at 10am at Barrack Gate and end at the Kanturk road junction.
Fermoy: The Fermoy parade will start at 11am and proceed down through the town.
Charleville: The parade will start after Mass at 12.30pm and journey through Main Street.
Churchtown: The annual Churchtown parade will start following 11am Mass.
Kanturk: The Kanturk parade will start at 2.30pm from the new link road near Scoil Naomh Pádraig and proceed via the Mill Road, Percival Street, The Square, Main Street and Strand Street.
Newmarket: The parade will start at 12.30pm from New Street, proceeding past the viewing stand outside the former post office building.
Mallow: The parade will take place at 2.30pm at West End and go via Main Street, with Grand Marshals the Thomas Davis Pipe Band.
South Limerick
Newcastle West: The parade in Newcastle West will be held on Saturday at 3pm, and will be preceded by street entertainment.
Broadford: The parade will set off at 12 noon on Sunday.
Kilmallock: This parade will set off at 12.30pm.
Kilfinane: The parade will begin at 2pm.
Bruff: start time for this parade is 2.30pm.
Ballylanders: starting at 3pm.
Castlemahon: also at 3pm.
