The Taoiseach Enda Kenny TD joined Limerick County Fine Gael at a celebration dinner at Dunraven Arms at the weekend. The constituency was celebrating a number of events including the political careers of Michael Finucane and Dan Neville, the 90th birthday of former Councillor Seàn Broderick, the attainment of two Fine Gael seats by Deputy Tom Neville and Minister Patrick O’Donovan and the appointment of Minister O’ Donovan.
Ministers Noonan, Varadkar, Fitzgerald, Breen along with Deirdre Clune MEP and a large number of current Dáil Deputies and Senators along with former members attended the celebrations. The event was also attended by councillors.
Chairperson of the constituency David Ward outlined the huge contribution that Seàn Broderick, Michael Finucane and Dan Neville had made to local and national politics. The Taoiseach made presentations to the three guests and paid individual tributes to them. Constituency Secretary Tom Lyons presented the Taoiseach with a copy of recent publications by Paul O’ Connell and Billy Keane,
