Team Spirit helps to revitalise Mallow

Community spirit is alive and well in Mallow this week as Mallow Tidy Towns and Mallow Estates Development Association joined forces to continue the good progress that has been undertaken in the town over the past few years. Workers from both Mallow Tidy Towns and Mallow Estates Develop-ment Association were joined in their efforts by Avondhu Blackwater Part-nership’s well-recognised Roaming Team of experienced maintenance workers and gardeners. The Roaming Team, who have established them-selves as dedicated community enhancement workers over the past few months, worked tirelessly alongside the committed Mallow Tidy towns and Mallow Estate Development Association workers to achieve the successful revitalisation of the Mallow Limerick and Mallow Cork approach roads. The three groups worked seamlessly together. No job was too small or big for the workers and much was achieved by way of grass cutting, strimming, sweeping of paths and maintenance of flower beds on the approach roads. The tremendous team work between the three groups was organised thanks to the combined efforts of Mary Cashman, Chairperson of Mallow Tidy Towns, and Paddy Whelan, Chairperson of Mallow Estates, both of whom were on hand throughout the week to ensure the success of the venture. Mary Cashman extended her sincere gratitude to all those invol-ved from Mallow Tidy Towns and Mallow Estates Development Association, and added that “the continued support and help from Avondhu Blackwater Partnership and the company’s Roaming team in particular was much appreciated”. She added the “combined dedication of all three groups is a positive sign for future such projects’. The continuation of such team spirit and the dedication of groups such as Mallow Estates Development Association, Mallow Tidy Towns and Avondhu Blackwater Partnership ensures that Mallow has a clean and bright future to look forward to”.
