Jacinta Mullins, crowned Thorny Rose of Charleville 2011, has returned home to hand over her crown and title to this year’s winner of Thorny Rose “Part Deux”. The inaugural Thorny Rose contest was held in August 2011 as part of Electric Eighties Charleville, a fundraising initiative to raise much needed funds for children’s cardiac care in Ireland. Electric Eighties Charleville is now in its 5th year and is running this year between August 23rd and 25th, with the Thorny Rose contest in Club D’Ville on Sunday night 25th August. Proceeds from the weekend are split 50/50 between Heart Children Ireland and the Cardiac Unit of Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin.
