Tidy Towns and Avondhu Blackwater Partnership come together to tackle litter!

Avondhu Blackwater Partnership’s Roaming Team and Mallow Tidy Towns Tús workers have been very active on the Mallow approach roads and in surrounding towns and villages in 2012. Avondhu Blackwater Partnership is keen to acknowledge all the hard work that has been undertaken by the two groups and extend a sincere thank you. As the year draws to a close the dedication and rapport shown by the Company’s Roaming Team was unrivalled.

The group were visible on projects in Glantane, Lombardstown, Watergrasshill, Mallow Castle and Ballyclough, to mention a few. Meanwhile Tús workers placed by Avondhu Blackwater Partnership in the Mallow Tidy Towns group were kindly thanked and their work acknowledged at the Tidy Towns Annual General Meeting last month.

According to Mary Cashman, Chairperson of Mallow Tidy Towns, “the workers are very obliging and we are delighted with the work they have done for the Tidy Towns this year”.

Buttevant town also benefitted from the presence of Avondhu Blackwater Partnership’s Tús workers and as the men near the end of the annual contract under the Tús initiative the company would like to extend it gratitude for all the community enhanc-ement projects and jobs undertaken by the workers in Buttevant.

Avondhu Blackwater Partn-ership is built on the ethos of community spirit and is committed to community and rural development. The commitment shown by the company’s Roaming Team and its Tús workers has not only ensured the revitalisation of local towns and villages but also demonstrated a vibrant community spirit at a time when it is most needed. The attitude and work ethic demonstrated by the above groups ensures that the local area will continue to benefit in the year ahead.
