The Rebel Cork Benevolent Association Dinner Dance was held recently in San Francisco, organised by John and Lynda Buckley, and this year was a special one as the special guest was Tim O’Mahony from Newtownshandrum, who travelled to the United States with his mother Nora. It was a wonderful occasion for everyone who attended the Dinner Dance, and Tim was presented with an award to mark his many achievements on the hurling field with his club and county. As well as attending the event, Tim and Nora stayed with John and Lynda for eight days, during which time they were shown all the sights of San Francisco and Sonoma.
