Three of the world’s top sports stars are due to appear in Newcastle West in the coming weeks, and for a very good cause.

World darts champion Michael van Gerwen and former champion Dennis Priestley will take on the best of the locals in a darts exhibition on Saturday March 29th in O’Grady’s Club Mission, with all proceeds going to the CRY foundation for Cardiac Risk in the Young. Doors will open at 6pm and tickets are on sale in Beckett’s bar at €20 and can also be got on the day, or ring Kevin 085-8159514. There will be a raffle with prizes including signed and framed shirts and signed dartboards and cues.

Six-time world snooker champion Steve Davis comes to O’Grady’s Club Mission on Friday 5th April for a Snooker and Poker Night in aid of CRY. Steve will take on the best locals in a single frame of snooker and will then do some trick shots for everyone to enjoy. After the snooker there will be a Texas Hold’em Freezeout where Steve will sit down and join the play for the €2,000-plus prize money. It should be a great night and you are urged to come and support a great charity.

Tickets are €20 for the exhibition and €60 for poker which includes the exhibition.

There are 30 limited VIP tickets priced at €40 which includes a meet-and-greet with Steve and your photo with the great player, plus table-side seats.

Tickets are on sale in Beckett’s bar and also at the door on the night or telephone Kevin 085-8159514.
