West Limerick Towns Are Going For Gold

Several West Limerick towns have been shortlisted for the Limerick Going for Gold Community Challenge Category 2017. The category has a top prize of €10,000 with additional runners-up prizes. Interviews will take place with Joe Nash on the 95fm ‘Limerick Today Show’ over a 5 week period, with six groups interviewed per week. The first is scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, and Athea are up against Askeaton, Patrickswell, Knocklong, Athea, Kilfinane and Moyross. Tidy Towns groups are appealing to the community to vote for their local group to go through to the next stages.
Going for Gold is supported by the JP McManus Charitable Foundation Fund and was launched last week by Mayor of Limerick Stephen Keary.
