COPE HOLD ART AND CRAFT EXHIBITION

 Last Wednesday, Cope Foundation, Mallow had the opening of a photo-graphic, art and craft exhibition in the Lib-rary. The photographs are of Cope service users and people from the Mal-low area who are involved in local organisations. The art and craft has all been produced in Cope.

At the opening there were readings from three local authors Richard O’Calla-ghan, John Cahill and Gerard O’Callaghan. There was also entertainment from a traditional group, Eileen Kerins and the Bootboys.

A large attendance was at the library and again in Market Square for the two days of entertainment. On Thursday and Friday, Flash Dance group gave two performances each day, there was set dancing, Tai Chi, solo artists, singers Gerard Young, Mary O’Regan performed while Tim Buckley played the harmonica.

There was also music from DJ. Denis O’Callaghan and another performance from Eileen and the Bootboys. It was a great few days of entertainment and the exhibition in the Library will run until Wednesday 17th July.
