HOSPITAL FRC MARKS GREEN RIBBON EVENT

a90

Groups and individuals gathered in Hospital Family Resource Centre on the morning of Wednesday 13th May to mark Green Ribbon Event, encouraging people to talk about mental health, listen, and be there for one another through difficult times.  Seamus Sherlock of the Irish Sheep and Cattle Farmers Association and founder of ‘Life after Debt’ spoke on the morning and stayed to chat and have tea.  Despite a rise in people approaching mental health services, people are still often unwilling to talk to friends or family when they most need help.  Information mornings like this can help remove the stigma and encourage people to sit together, talk, and to listen in a non-judgmental way.

Wear the green ribbon to support people’s wellbeing, share and talk to each other.  For more information contact Mary on 061-383884
