On Thursday 5th and Friday 6th September the RSA visited Mallow Youthreach with their interactive shuttle bus and roll over car. Students from Youthreach centres in the Southern Region were invited to visit the shuttle bus and learn about their driving skills, take part in simulated driving, test their knowledge of the theory test and to sit into the roll over car. Students from Tralee Transforum Alley, Youghal, The Glen, Mahon and Mallow Youthreach Centres took part. They learned about road safety, safe driving and took part in all the simulators inside the shuttle. A few brave students and staff sat into the roll-over car and experienced the inside of a car as it turned over 360! The importance of safety and wearing seat belts was very evident and learned by all.
A big thank you to the Road Safety Authority who were more than helpful and willing to bring the shuttle to Mallow and allow students time to explore and engage with both the interactive shuttle and roll over car.
