On this Saturday 60 years ago, pupils in the Patrician School – now the Patrician Academy – marched across the road to their newly-built nat-ional school, St Patrick’s, and next Monday that famous walk will be re-enacted by past and present pupils and teachers in both schools. Everyone will meet at the side entrance to the Patrician Academy at 11.30am on Monday, and re-enact the walk of 60 years ago, and this will be followed by the celebration of Mass in the St Pat’s School Hall at 12 noon. St Pat’s would like to invite pupils from that day, 18th October, 1954, to come along and take part in the walk and also the cele-brations.
